God willing, we will begin our online conference in just a few days (it is set to begin this Thursday, the 28th of January, 2021). We thus wanted to take the opportunity to comment briefly on the why and how of the conference.
WHY ARE WE PUTTING ON THIS CONFERENCE?
As a publisher, we seek to glorify God by promoting Reformed Baptist confessional Christianity. With Michael Haykin, Tom Nettles, and Jeremy Walker we have three speakers that share this desire, and we very much look forward to their addresses covering aspects related to the historical and contemporary significance of our Confession of Faith. We are also putting on this conference as a thank you to all who have supported us in our recent Kickstarter campaign to publish a new edition of the Confession of Faith.
HOW WILL THE CONFERENCE BE RUN?
This conference will use Zoom. It seemed prudent to us to hold a conference online as travel is currently very difficult and as we have people planning to join us from at least five continents. Those registered will receive a link by which they can join us for all the conference sessions, including the Q&A.
HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE?
There are a number of different ways to register for the conference. The conference is free for those who have financially supported us on Kickstarter. If that is the case for you and you haven’t already, please email contact@parresiabooks.org to confirm your registration. You can also purchase tickets here. Registration for the conference is £15. For £30, you can get registration for the conference and a copy of our forthcoming hardback edition of the 1689 Confession.
If you would like to attend the conference but the registration fee is too expensive for you, please email: contact@parresiabooks.org.
WILL THE SESSIONS BE RECORDED?
We plan to record all conference sessions and hope to make them available for those registered in the very near future.
